Competition "Mathematical carousel" - a team competition to solve problems. The competition is attended by students in grades 5-10.
From each parallel of educational institution one-two teams (in each team on 4 persons) are formed.
Time to solve problems: for students 5-6 classes-1 hour; 7-8 classes-1 hour 10 minutes; 9-10 classes-1 hour 20 minutes.
16 mathematical problems of different complexity are submitted to the contest. The team is offered a pair of tasks randomly selected from 8 pairs of tasks.
The answer is recorded by one team member in a special Protocol of the competition for both problems at the same time, without justification. After that, the next pair of tasks is selected.
Scoring is based on the number of correctly solved problems. Points are not deducted for incorrectly solved problem. The team has the right to refuse to solve the problem, then it is considered unsolved.
It is allowed to use the calculator, it is forbidden to use the mobile phone (during the contest the mobile phone must be switched off, be in the bag or on the edge of the table).
The winners and participants of the competition are awarded with diplomas.
