Philologists participated in the discussion of teaching the Russian language in Sevastopol

4th and 5th year students of the Faculty of Philology K. Ishtuganova, V. Chernetskaya, K. Yermoshin and the Head of the Department of the Russian Language and IPRM G.M. Kulaeva, as a leader and responsible for discussing reports in real time, took part in the XI All-Russian with international participation scientific and practical conference of students, graduate students and young scientists "Language and Personality in a Multicultural Space", which took place in a remote format ("VKontakte") 11- May 12, 2020 at Sevastopol State University and was extended to May 25, 2020. In the early days, 64 reports were presented, on our side questions were asked to more than 20 participants.

Of great interest on the part of the conference participants was the report by KARINA ISHTUGANOVA, 4-year students, profiles Russian language and History. She turned to the use of military historical material in the Russian language lessons in the year of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Her report presented language and speech tasks using the Reichstag concept word as an example: vocabulary work, analysis, comparing photographs of 2019 and 2020, reading and analyzing memory texts of participants in the Reichstag capture, and composition.

VALERIA CHERNETSKAYA, a 5th year student, profiles “Russian Language and Primary Education”, presented a report on the theme “Using intersubject relations of the Russian language with a foreign language in the study of linguistic concepts in high school”. Her presentation reflected a comparison of linguistic concepts and phenomena in the Russian language lessons with contact subjects - English and Chinese, which the student speaks.

In the audio report KRISTINA YERMOSHINA, a 5th year student, profiles “Russian Language and Primary Education”, talked about how to teach students the types of textual activities on cultural materials. Such material in her speech was Zhdanov’s picture “Samovar on the table”, on the example of which a student presented a methodology for introducing students to an indispensable household item in Russian life - a samovar.

All reports of students aroused keen interest from the jury members and conference participants. Our students were awarded diplomas for the best report, and at the end of the conference the materials of the reports will be published.

We express gratitude for the support of our reports by teachers, elders of student groups, students of all courses of the Faculty of Philology.
