On April 14, 2020, the Department of Russian History, with the support of the Orenburg branch of the Russian Historical Society, opened a project called “Parade of Memory. Eastfac OGPU. To the 75th anniversary of the first Victory Parade of 1945. " Wishing to honor the memory of the Heroes, to preserve their appearance in the annals of history and to more closely link the memory of generations, through social networks we invited everyone who is connected with our historical faculty alone or through relatives to share information about their Heroes. Students, graduates, caring teachers have responded! The interim results of this project were announced on May 8, on the eve of Victory Day, in the form of a video with music for the famous song “Immortal Regiment”. Information support of the RIO portal, expressed in the placement of this video on its platform, had a huge impact on the replenishment of this electronic archive. Everyone wanted to see their relatives - participants of the Great Patriotic War in a similar film. As a result, in a short time the amount of material collected more than doubled, from 52 to 106 people! It is important that those guys who are just starting to study at the history faculty and honored veterans of our university took an active part in creating this electronic archive. And those for whom the hero of that War is their own mother, and those for whom this hero are long-gone great-grandfathers or great-grandmothers ... We think this is extremely useful for maintaining the connection of generations. It should be noted that the information provided about these people by the members of the Orenburg branch of the RIO was checked and updated on the sites “Feat of the People” and “Memory of the People”, which made it possible to make the materials more complete and, in some cases, more correct. It is also important that the posts about our Heroes presented on VKontakte and Facebook social networks did not remain only in the virtual space, but were carefully transferred and saved as an electronic archive on the hard drive. Thus, the work done turned out to be useful and important both from the point of view of preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War, and from the point of view of creating a new complex of sources, previously disparate in history and War, and the Orenburg State Pedagogical University, which celebrated its centenary last year . Today, on the eve of the Victory Parade, we will present the results of the project in the form of a video.
Look at these faces! Read the signature. They will say more about the past War and the people's attitude to it than ordinary words! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST VICTORY PARADE, DEAR FRIENDS! Respectfully, Head of the Department of Russian History S.V. Lubichankovsky
